pretty in pink

My love for babies does not end with holding them and feeding them. I also love to photograph them. This morning, Miss K, was so precious. She will be one soon, so today we captured her sweet smile, her beautiful blue eyes, her curiosity and her ability to toddle around.

Miss K, you were so much fun and so very adorable!

So much fun at *ONE*

My cousin's little boy, Nathan, is quickly approaching his first birthday and I was excited to get to take his birthday pictures. He was so much fun, being just a little stingy with his sweet smiles. Through several outfit changes, varying locations and it being a tad bit warm, he was such a good boy. Not many one year olds are toddling around like this little fellow. Here are some of my many favorite shots.

He was cuteness from head to toe.
Thanks, Angela, for the opportunity to capture this cute boy in so many different ways.

boys will be boys

Sunday afternoon. Clothes still in crisp condition from church, no mud yet. I thought this would be a great opportunity to catch a few shots of my precious boys. Let's just say, I tried.

And naturally...

Oh the joys of boys.

batter up

Action, action, we want action. A-C-T (clap, clap, clap) I-O-N. A friend invited me to come and give action photos a whirl at her daughter's softball playoff game. Pictures were fun and the game was exciting (and disappointing).

Here is #10, Cheyenne, in action.

Stay tuned for more pictures of Cheyenne.

sunshine and splashes

The sun came out today so I took advantage of catching some cute smiles.

Playing in the fountains and Cold Stone Creamery worked well for bribery.

let's frame it!

I am a teacher and am very blessed to have an occupation that I have always dreamed of having. I have recently discovered something else that I enjoy tremendously and would like to take the hobby to another level. I am beginning some photography. There are four ways to describe this new passion. Addicted. Obsessed. Fanatic. Love it.

Here is my first official photo shoot of a senior that I had the privilege of teaching in 5th grade. He was a great first subject and really got me wanting to do this more often, in different places and people of all ages.

And then there are my kids that I have been practicing on for years.

And, thanks to the girlfriend, I even got some of my brother.

Thanks for looking. I hope to hear from you!
