Red, White & You

Today was a steamin' hot success at Gotta Scrap. Literally. I was a little flustered to be on 635 at 9:15 a.m. with my exterior thermostat reading 94 degrees. Seriously?! I try to beat the heat with "early" morning photos but now that summer has made its big debut here in Texas - there is no good time for a comfortable photo shoot. We've just got to have a plan, put some smiles on and snap away. I tried this out today and the results speak for themselves. It worked!

The theme today at "project runway" was Red, White & You. Some moms were gearing up for Independence Day scrapbook layouts, some were ready to have some cute pictures framed around the house for the upcoming holiday and one grandmother wanted photos as a send off to the girls' daddy leaving for Iraq soon.

Despite the heat, we toughed it out and got some great patriotic pictures.

Stay tuned for upcoming "project runways" in July and kids camp, where your kids make crafts while you have an hour to shop, or sleep, or clean house, or whatever you need to do.

I would love to hear from you for a photo shoot. Don't let the heat scare you off - sessions are short, sweet and leave you with special memories. Let's frame it!

f*o*u*r*t*e*e*n

Today started with a beautiful fourteen year old girl to make my photography hobby a piece of cake. She has a smile that could light a room. Enjoy the pictures as I enjoyed taking them. We didn't even have to bribe her to be good or to smile. She was a natural.

Her pictures turned out great. I have posted some here with a variety of editing effects.
Tomorrow, I will be at Gotta Scrap taking Red, White & You photos. Come see us!

oh, brother

The title isn't really fitting for these sweet brothers. C and T were so cute and so cooperative. We started early to beat the heat and our timing was perfect. There was even time to play with the dogs and chase frogs.

Thanks mom and sweet boys for sharing your morning with me. Hope your dad is happy with these sweet faces framed for Father's Day!

pretty as a princess

Today at Gotta Scrap the theme was "dress up". Two sweet little girls came ready and willing to become princesses in the blink of an eye and the change of an outfit. It was so much fun to see their beauty and character as they became pretty as a princess.

Sweet L changed dresses several times and never got tired of smiling. The only thing she did not want was to walk in the grass and she definitely wanted to find a shady spot to strike a pose. Here is L, she was so sweet and so angelic.

And remember adorable A from the harbor? Here she is struttin' in high heels with a dazzling crown and super soft boa.

These were super sweet princesses and I loved every minute of their divaness.

Next Wednesday at Gotta Scrap - Red, White and You! Come for 4th of July photo ops and then shop for some cute layouts.

take me out to the ball game

I have gotten to take a couple of teams' baseball pictures and love seeing the expressions, the fun and the goofiness of boys. Pictured below is a picture of brothers in their baseball uniforms, an individual pose and the team's silly pose. What fun!

The Crandall Red Vipers are full of life!

* shout out to the Gilcrease boys for giving me something good to post :)

baby boy

I had the privilege of taking pictures of my teaching partner's sweet baby boy on Saturday. He was such a trooper but wasn't sharing many of his sweet smiles. Maybe it was because it was hot, it was different and some big black thing (camera) was always in his face. No matter what, baby K was adorable and cooperative.

Did I mention that he is adorable?!
